After the excitement of photographing the various events at the carnival last month, we are back on Wednesday 16 September at our usual venue, the Aldeburgh Library and at the usual time of 7.30 pm.
This month we are very pleased to welcome again Simon Reid. Earlier this year Simon gave a very interesting talk on his life as a motorsport photographer. This time Simon will lead a discussion and give practical instruction on how to explore and develop the creative skills of editing images on smartphones and tablets mainly using the free app… SnapSeed (from Google).
Simon has been working as a freelance photograher and has been editing his own photos, or working as a photo retoucher for over two decades. Digital photography is often considered a two part process; capturing images and then editing them. He will also briefly discuss composition and exposure options while taking photos. Finally he will give a practical demonstration of how, even on your phone, you can edit photos to fit a creative or artistic aesthetic and will include a comparison between SnapSeed and Lightroom or Photoshop.
