This month we will not be holding a formal meeting; instead, we will be out and about putting our camera skills to good use at the Aldeburgh Carnival. The three-day event, with the theme ‘country and eastern’ starts on Saturday 15 August and concludes with a spectacular lantern and firework display on Monday 17 August. During this time the town comes alive with a variety of events including a 10k run, fun rides, giant kites, duck and egg boat races, RNLI demonstrations, swimming competitions and a carnival parade. Our members, in ‘Press’ vests, will be there to capture the fun at all the events. Please stop us and say hello, or ask us about our friendly club and we may even take your photo! Most images will be uploaded onto our website (www.aldeburghphotographygroup.org.uk) and the carnival committee will select a number for the town pages.
